AER duplex device

As against the simplex device B......, the duplex device has a type designation D.......

This was developed for the situation that in case of group breaking action with common switch off for all the motors the standstill times of individual motors differ widely in messy fashion. In this case the motors are divided into two groups, which are further connected to two various outputs of the duplex device. The currents of both the systems can be set separate and are distributed on both the half shafts of a phase. The time setting is common for both the systems.

The duplex devices were designed in such a way that these can be exchanged fully against the simplex devices.

If during the commissioning of a machine it is seen that individual motors need other settings, then this device can be exchanged against the duplex device, whereby nothing is changed on the controlling part. Terminals 1 up to 8 of the simplex device are connected to the terminals 1 to 8 of the duplex device positioned at the same point. Likewise the terminals L 1 and L 2 are reconnected, only the main contacts of the brake contactor  are connected to the various output terminals (I+ / I- likewise II+ / II-).

The normal case should be that a duplex device is planned well in advance. Also here we develop plant specific applications for you.

A duplex device is always considered when the plant has 50/100 Hz- and 200/300 Hz-Motors. Here both the groups are kept on both the systems of the duplex devices.

As against the two simplex devices fulfilling the same objective of a duplex device the low prices and the less circuit complexities are the great advantages with duplex devices.

The power wise design of both the systems can be done as described under the simplex devices.
